Earth Hour 2010 was the largest voluntary action for the environment in history with lights going out across 128 countries over 4,500 cities worldwide. You can be part of the voluntary action in 2011 and beat the last year record.
What do I do as an outreach volunteer?
You will be chatting with people to get them excited about supporting Earth Hour and pledging to “Live Green”. A briefi ng and outreach materials will be provided. A short & simple brief ng will be given upon registration at the WWF-Malaysia Booth located in Oasis Boulevard (outdoors, next to T.G.I Friday, Italiannies and Republic), Ground Floor before each session.
Advantages of becoming an outreach volunteer :
– Expand social networking , get to know different people from different colleges and get in touch with WWF representatives.
– Help to save the World indirectly saving , helping animals and human to pledge for a greener environment
Volunteers will be given an Earth Hour button badge and glow-in-the-dark arm bands on the day.
Casual, with sleeved tops and shorts/skirts/dresses/jeans that are at least knee length

For those who do not know, Taylor’s University Pets and Wildlife Society will take part in the Earth Hour 2011. WWF has invited them to join their Earth Hour Outreach Program . The details are as following :

There are mascots and performance during the day. Our duty is to be WWF ambassador, which is asking for public pledges for supporting Earth Hour and asking public to switch of their lights from 8.30 pm- 9.30 pm.
