PTPTN Barred Me From Leaving Malaysia. What should you do to clear up your name?

Recently I was barred to leave Malaysia due to PTPTN outstanding payment. Since I run my photography studio and video production company, I had difficulties to pay right after I graduate. So there’s some outstanding payment (not a huge amount) and I got bared. A year after I graduate, I started to pay monthly (I did paid extra to cover up my outstanding).

The main reason why Malaysian get barred by PTPTN is your outstanding payment. As usual when it comes to Hari Raya, I’m going back to Singapore with my family for a celebration. So, I need to go out of Malaysia and make sure my name is clear.

I just went to the PTPTN branch to clear up my name. So, this is what you should do if you got barred from leaving Malaysia by PTPTN.

What should you do?
1 : Go to the nearest PTPTN office / branch.
2 : Check with them how much is your pending payment.
3 : Make a payment.
4 : Your name will be clear from leaving Malaysia within 7 working days or less.
What’s the solution
1 : Make a full payment of the outstanding payment or make full payment for the entire debt.
2 : Make half of the outstanding payment. PTPTN will reschedule your fees and it is totally your last choice because your debt will be increased.
In my case, I did pay my outstanding payment and will clear all my debt by the end of the year since I can save up to RM4000 due to their RM20/month service fee / Ujrah.

During IOI City Mall Putrajaya first open their door to the public, I came to witness their opening ceremony as media and I’m so impressed with the amount of food outlet they do have. Since my studio is just located a stone throw away, IOI City Mall Putrajaya is always being my first place came into my mind whenever I need a break such as watching movie and shopping.

If you happen to be in IOI City Mall Putrajaya, I strongly advise you to give  57 Hotpot & Asian Cuisine Restaurant a try. Basically, it is all about steamboat and Asian cuisine.  Rymba Haven : More info

Nilai reminds me about my University life. I used to study in Nilai University and live in Nilai for almost 3 years. Well, live in Nilai I would say much less stress due to their environment. Everything is green, but there’s still have hypermarket such as Giant, etc.

I was invited by Rymba Haven to try their Iftar Ramadan. To be honest, I’m so excited to see what they have and I’m glad I could drop by Nilai once again.

Overall, I would rate 7/10 for the venue. I quite like their concept and of course their “jungle” feel. 8/10 for the services and 6/10 for the food. I believe they could do much better than what I had yesterday. Maybe it was their first day of the event and I really hope I would have the opportunity to drop by again in future.

Kantan Hotplate : More info
Kajang is well known for their Satay. What if, I tell you there have something worth to dine other than Satay? But if you really crave for Kajang Satay, they do sell too. So, where to dine in Kajang? I would recommend  Restoran Kantan Hotplate.

Recently we were invited by an old school singer, Amir Pearl. He invited us to try his new restaurant known as  Kantan Hotplate. Well, he just runs this restaurant for 23 days. They served West Asia cuisine. A combination of Western and Cuisine.

Personally, I give 5/10 for their Asian food and 7/10 for their Western food.

Waste to Energy – Don’t simply dump your waste

For those who don’t know, I do run studio rental White Studio Project and one of the thing that we offer is bar. We do provide beverage can, bottle, etc. So, most of the time our customer will simply throw their waste in our dustbin.
Waste-to-energy (WtE) or energy-from-waste (EfW) is the process of generating energy in the form of electricity and/or heat from the primary treatment of waste. WtE is a form of energy recovery. Most WtE processes produce electricity and/or heat directly through combustion, or produce a combustible fuel commodity, such as methane, methanol, ethanol or synthetic fuels.
For those who might don’t aware yet, Malaysia already has numerous waste-to-energy (WTE)  facility to process solid waste and generate electricity. How cool is that?
Do check out http://www.kpkt.gov.my for more information.
I always told my colleague that it is important to split the waste before we throw it to the disposal area. Most of the time, I will give waste that can be recycle such as paper and bottle to the cleaner so that they can make some extra cash.
Do check out http://www.kpkt.gov.my for more information.

Hiring Non-Local Worker for Labor Work? – For a business startup

In labor industry, there’s a lot of ways to cut cost. One of them is through the manpower. My colleagues and I decided to hire Indonesian workers after we did a lot of discussion with some of the biggest players in the industry.
As a startup, there have few benefits that we get by hiring foreign worker such as Indonesian and Bangladesh worker. However, I do prefer Indonesian worker compare than Bangladesh worker due to communication barriers and talent.
I live in Jakarta for a few months before and for me, Indonesian worker is promising. However, we allocate one local worker as supervisor to monitor and make sure everything went smoothly.
We hired Indonesian worker for the laborious work. It is twice cheaper and efficient compared than local workers.
Some of the benefit that we get by hiring foreign worker compare than local worker (labor work):
  • Low pay. Roughly RM1000/per month compare than RM2000/month for local worker.
  • Attitude: Based on my experience, Indonesian worker is work harder compare than local worker when it comes to labor work. Usually, they do not have other activity after working hours. So, they can have a good rest at night.
  • No extra allowance. We just have to provide accommodation and sometimes we treat them lunch. Basic documentation such as  insurance, medical card and visa are covered by the agency.

Why Blogger Need Digital Profile & How to Create it? – Digital profile for the client

I receive a lot of request & feedback regarding the importance and how to make your’s.

Just in case if you don’t know, I have my own Digital Profile for my PR friends/clients. Usually I will send to PR or Company who required my social media services. I will update once a month such as stats, media exposure, etc. Do let me know if you need my digital profile.

Why blogger need a digital profile?
With a simple understanding of branding yourself, It is important to let people know who you are and what exactly you did. Clients also want to know what is your reach and who are your audience based on your stats.

To complete the missing puzzle, preparing your own Social Media Digital Profile is the answer.

Please take note: This is from my own perspective. Some of you might don’t agree with me.

Why Digital Profile is important?
Access to your internet profiles mean that your story is being told digitally. As a blogger myself, I often meet up with a lot of people during the event. Usually this is when you start to create a networking and “sell yourself”. Usually I will exchange my name card with PR and if they interested with your write up or your attitude, they will definitely drop you an email if they have upcoming project. From there you can start to send them your digital profile.

First impressions do count?
Everyone has a different perspective when it comes to online profile or I call it as Digital Profile. For me, it is an opportunity to tell your story the way you want it told. It is an asset to build your personal and professional brand. My productions house marketing is 90% based on social media.

Benefit of Digital profile?
There’s a lot of benefit you can gain and the most obvious is the opportunity. I must admit that some of you are well known among your client or blogger community. However, not everyone knows what exactly you do or what do you blog about. You can grab this opportunity to tell people about your strengths and downplays those other areas that may not be so strong.

There’s no right or wrong on how to create your own digital profile. For me, I prefer something professional. These are some of the examples of what I put in my digital profile (I have more than 10 pages).
How to create my own digital profile?
There’s a lot of ways and these are just an example.
• About yourself. Personal details and a quick brief about your background, your passion, etc. Please include your photo so that the PR can recognize you.
• What is your blog all about? A quick brief about your blog. What do you write, what is your blog niche, what drive you to blog, etc.
• Media exposure / achievement: Add on on your digital profile if you have any. This is one of the ways to make you stand out compare than other.
• Stats: The best way is to screenshot your detail such as your google analytic, total friends / follower on social media (Facebook, Fan page, Instagram, Twitter, Google plus etc.)
• Contact: Don’t forget to add on your contact detail and social media link for client references.
You may want to contact me if you have any inquiries.
