Photo Video Kahwin officially launched

Hey guys, it’s have been awhile. Finally I have time to blog. I have been busy lately and Alhamdulillah now everything went smoothly.
Some of you might know and some of you still haven’t got the clear picture on my new project. I would like to announce my new company (sister company of CVS Production) which is focused on weddings. We have a team of professional photographer and videographer who are focused on weddings.

Why wedding?
Do what you love and money will come afterwards. Sometime I need to go back to my basic and focus on what I love to do, in order for me to produce better quality of photo and video. I’m starting my photography and videography journey from events and weddings. So, why should I stop?

Why now and how it started?
Good stuff needs time. Sometime people love to brag what they do, but there’s no output. However, I prefer to let the secret reveal by itself. Everything started at the coffee shop, last year October. My friend and I had our usual coffee hunting on Sunday morning. What else you can expect when the boys had their coffee? Of course, it’s all about business and gear. When I went back home, I had an idea of coming up with wedding photography and videography company. It took me almost 3 months to get the core business model, idea and team player. After some research and feedback, we give it a try on January 2014. We took a month to bring everything alive and Alhamdulillah, on the 1st of February 2014, PhotoVideoKahwin is officially launched!

Can you focus?
CVS Production and Creative Visual Studio (commercial and corporate) have the same nature of business, photography and videography. However, we try to create something different in PhotoVideoKahwin and even the target market are different. I will focus on my events, corporate and commercial field and I have a team of people who will focus on PhotoVideoKahwin.
We have also just started up our 1st travelogue channel known as “The Wedding Travelogue”. We are going to share with you our journey, experience, behind the scene, etc. Dedicated to all our outstation assignment. The purpose of the channel is to show people how fun our work is and we want to tell people that we enjoy our work and we will try our best to produce better quality and service. Inshaallah, if you interested you may have opportunity to be part of the team 🙂
What we do? Check out HERE!

Let’s Cook Pancakes for The Homeless! – People of Hope

Instead of giving out contributed meals as we did in previous months, we thought of doing something different this time. Cooking a pancake for the homeless. We are proud to adapt this idea into our Feed the Poor April 2013. And the theme we have set for this month is PANCAKES 🙂

Date: 13.04.13
Time: 9.45pm – 11.45pm
Venue: Kuala Lumpur
*Check the FB page for more information

This video is made by a NGO called The Big Umbrella. These guys operate a project called A Real Meal in Melbourne, similar to our Feed the Poor project. Do watch the video for a clearer picture on how its done over there. First-timers to our Feed the Poor project, do watch our previous videos stored within our Facebook page video content.

This is the March 2013 Feed the Poor project. We are growing! The tradition taking a group photo before we head out to give the contributed food from various shops, restaurants & other business besides F&B, to the homeless people.

If you want to join us for the next one, please fill up the Feed the Poor April 2013 Volunteer Application: HERE!

We will be needing few boxes of White Wings Panjacks Pancake Mix *Just Add Water*
One box of this pancake mix will cost RM9.50 at Giant Hypermarket. We encourage volunteers to share out the cost especially if you’re students. Ten bucks might not be a big amount, but the feeling of having your part in it is priceless 🙂
If you’re interested in donating them, check out: HERE!

Small Mission Enterprise (S.M.E.) – Learning about business through sitcom

I might sound outdated but some people say “better late than never”. I just found out about Small Mission Enterprise (S.M.E.). Basically it’s an English sitcom focusing on entrepreneurship. Nowadays, there are a lot of young entrepreneurs and it’s growing like a mushroom. Not to mention that I know quite a number of people who set up their own business and is inspired me.

When I start up my own business, I did not have a lot of knowledge about running a proper business. I believe that learning is not a destination but it is a journey. After my 1st company, Creative Visual Studio and CVS Production became stable, I decided to establish another company: an online reality production based on hidden camera concept, People of Hope. Our videos are in effort to raise awareness among people in Malaysia parallel with business interest for commercial advertising. I will be publishing my ebook soon and I hope it can help other young entrepreneurs.

Throughout the year, I learnt a lot. I met different kinds of people, dealing with different kinds of company and not to mention the obstacle that I faced really taught me a lot. Just remember, when you try to climb a ladder of success, some people will try push you down and some people will try to help you. Appreciate the one that helped you and try to give opportunities to others who need it. Never forget people who tried to push you down, and make it as a lesson.

It’s a good approach by our young and talented Comedian, Actor, Writer, Singer, Musician, Composer, Producer: Douglas Lim.

Check out their 1st episode. The rest of the episode you know where to get right? You can see the familiar faces such as Ash Nair, Baki Zainal, Adibah Noor and Chelsia Ng.

Episode 1: Life is a piece of cake

Episode 2: All in a Day’s Work
Episode 3: It’s all about time
Episode 4: Hiring, Firing & Tiring
Episode 5: E-asy
Episode 6: Insurance
Episode 7: If you don’t watch this, you will get 10 years bad luck
Episode 8: Corporate Con-sequences
Episode 9: Lights! Camera! Commercial!
Episode 10: Sausage Delivery
Episode 11: Dough & Taxes
Episode 12: The begining of the end (P1)
Episode 13: The begining of the end (P2)
Some of you might realize their billboard ads around Klang Valley.

Stay tuned Small Mission Enterprise season 2

Wreck-It Ralph (Movie Review)

Wreck-It Poster
A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives.

Wreck-It Ralph (voice of Reilly) longs to be as beloved as his game’s perfect good guy, Fix-It Felix (voice of McBrayer). Problem is, nobody loves a bad guy. But they do love heroes… so when a modern, first-person shooter game arrives featuring tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Lynch), Ralph sees it as his ticket to heroism and happiness. He sneaks into the game with a simple plan — win a medal — but soon wrecks everything, and accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens every game in the arcade. Ralph’s only hope? Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Silverman), a young troublemaking “glitch” from a candy-coated cart racing game who might just be the one to teach Ralph what it means to be a Good Guy. But will he realize he is good enough to become a hero before it’s “Game Over” for the entire arcade?

The synopsis is actually a little off and different, but you get the idea.

This is one of the cutest movies I’ve ever watched! But it’s also cool at the same time! And heartwarming, like most other Disney movies. I teared a little. :’)

In their world, when the arcade closes, the game characters all come alive. They can travel to another game, interact with each other and characters from other games, go to a bar (!) and form their own social group.

A lot familiar game characters made a cameo in the movie, some even played a role. There was Pac Man and Sonic! I love the variety of the games in the movie, 8-bit to super high-tech, girly games to macho games, etc. It all became very interesting and refreshing when you see the characters from different games interacting, or when an 8-bit character becomes and look all “normal”.

Meet Vanellope from the sweet and girly racing game, Sugar Rush. And that’s Ralph. So cute!

This is the bad-ass Sergeant Calhoun from the game Hero’s Duty, voiced by Jane Lynch. The character even looks like her!

Fix-It Felix, the guy who fixes whatever Ralph wrecks. And that’s his magical hammer that fixes everything. Hahaha so cute!

It’s already out in Malaysia cinemas, so make sure you catch it! Also available in 3D.
