The famous Char Kway Teow (CKT) lady used to park her pushcart outside Kedai Koip & Ice kacang @ No.84 but has moved into her own shop a few doors away since january 2008. The aunty with red beret-huge goggles is one of the famous CKT @ Lorong Selamat. A lot of people hated her arrogance. I find it utterly ridiculous paying RM6 (small portion), for a plate of CKT..Since it’s have a lot of customer, I bring my friend to try another famous CKT which located 1 row with this stall.

Char Kway Teow @ RM6.00. This stall has operated more than 10 years and it’s also another famous CKT stall. We wait almost 1 hour for the food to come. While waiting for the food, we had our refreshment 1st. The prices of this small plate of Char Kway Teow is RM6.00 which is complete with large prawns and cockles. Doesn’t it look real delicious? The size of prawn damn huge but the CKT too little.

Kedai Kopi Dan Ais Kacang,
Lorong Selamat,

Oh Chien @ RM8.00. I’m having Oh Chien (Oyster Omelet) as my lunch while my friend ate CKT. Oh Chien is my favourite all of the time which is Penang version of oyster damn a lot and huge if wanna compare with Malacca version. But of course la the price different.

Air Batu Campur @ RM3.00. They claim that his ABC is the famous in Penang but for me it’s too plain.

At the same stall, we had a Teh O Ice @ RM1.10.

They also have Hokkien Prawn Mee.

P.S.: This is based on individual’s taste and liking and if there’s any other further questions about this restaurant or the food, feel free to drop a comment. Thanks!
