Located just above The Gourmet House at the Curve, the restaurant occupies two floors, with a souvenir shop at the side. Loads of Forrest Gump memorabilia is displayed on the walls, tables and everywhere else.
Edmund said “how can u never watch forest gump before?” I gave him a big smile and said “i really never watch that before”. And i started to question myself? Am i outdated or something?
When i first stepped in, i was warmly welcome by their hostess! But I guess they are still doing their training and lof of expatriate staff is guiding on the local and Vietnam.
The restaurant is themed based on the Forrest Gump movie, starring Tom Hanks so you’ll see a lot of Forrest Gump memorabilia around. To get the waiters to stop and serve you, they ask you to use the signboards above. ‘Run Forrest Run’ means keep doing what you’re doing, ‘Stop Forrest Stop’ means come and serve us.
Salmon and veggie skillet @ RM35.90. It’s grilled salmon and fresh vegetables with garlic herbs butter and capers, served over Jasmine rice. I like the flavor of the rice as its soft and carry some sour character. Can you see the size of huge asparagus?
Bourbon Street Baramundi @ RM 29.90. It’s charbroiled Cajun spiced baramundi with bourbon street sauce and shrimp, served over mashed potatoes. The gravy is slightly to thick and i dun like the mashed potato to go with the gravy. Mix of grilled baramundi fish, prawns (peeled) served with a sauce, mash potatoes and deep fried tortilla strips.
Bubba’s Baked Seafood Rice @ RM28.90. Can you see the size of prawn? Huge!!! But the cheese damn milky. I can’t finish it since I need to help my friend finish her meal and I ask the waiter to take away the dish ^^.
Overall I will vote:
8/10 for the service. Efficient & Unique.
8/10 for the food quality and quantity of the food excellent. Huge but and price reasonable.
9/10 for the environment. Good place to hang out with friends and chit chat.
