From 1st April 2010, there is a new concept of sushi rolls at The Weld. Don Don Sushi offers takeaway sushi rolls with the following attributes:
Delicious, Larger sized, Healthy, Clean, Fast and Affordable

The sushi rolls are filled with many different ingredients from a simple Japanese omelette (tamago), to gourmet soft-shell crab and unagi. In addition, they are larger sized compared to the usual ones Malaysians are used to.

Don Don Sushi provides a quick takeaway meal to students/busy working professionals who do not always have the luxury to enjoy extended lunch hours. At the same time, it provides a healthier alternative to the increasingly health conscious population.

They currently have kiosks at three locations (and continue to search for new site opportunities):
-The Weld, Jln Raja Chulan KL
– Sooka Sentral (opposite KL Sentral)
– Taylors College, Lakeside Campus.

I heard about this sushi when one of my clicks tweet about it. So, I try to fin out by myself and yes, here you go. For those who Taylor Lakeside students, the stall is locate in front of the admin block and just near with the staircase.

The price for the sushi it’s just reasonable and they have promotion until 30 September 2010 which is any customer who purchase Don Don Sushi minimum RM8.00 in single receipt will receive one stamp for frequent dinner card. Once you have 10 stamps, you will receive FREE lunch set worth RM7.90.

How to get the “Frequent diner card”?
It’s just easy. If you haven’t get their card, just drop by their stall and purchase any sushi minimum RM8.00

I want try other dish but that day, I ate my lunch. So, those who have try their unagi, let me know ya.

I just bought their Inari specialty which is cost me RM8.20 as total. The topping was quite a lot compare with others place and the omelet also quite sweet. I curious one thing which is it’s a bit cold. Maybe they want keep the topping fresh? I don’t know LOL

The rice that they use just a normal rice and not Japanese rice. It’s not firm as well which is every time I bite it, the rice will drop. It’s not stick.

Octopus Inari @ RM2.80, Scallop Inari @ RM2.90 & Seaweed Inari @ RM2.50.

Overall I will vote:
7/10 for the service. Self service.
7/10 for the food quality and quantity. Worth, nice and price reasonable.
5/10 for the environment. Only can take away.
