EAT – Koong Woh Tong

Whenever I went to Chinese stall, I will order either Kuo Lin Ko or Momo Cha Cha. I always pass by Koong Woh Tong when I went 1Utama or others shopping complex where I believe most of you have seen this herbs cafe before right? A new place to venture and now I know where should I lepak while waiting my movie ^^

Back then, when I studied in Nilai University College, I always had my desert at Wong Kok which is located ta Dea Palma. Once I stay at KL, I seldom went out to have nice dessert. I had my Guei Ling Gau at this herbs stall before head up to Molten Lava for the food review.

The moment when I step in to the cafe, all the interior of the Koong Woh Tong is the same with other branch. Got a big golden pot in front of it with some very ancient chinese painting and chinese writing. For your info, refer to history most old Chinese people love the color combination of gold and red.

Some people said that the legend starts when a doctor from imperial palace retired and went back to his hometown, giving out the recipe of this traditional herb and it helped lot lot lot of peoples. Kong Woh Tong, those who born year-79 before and watch Chinese drama series should remember who is “ma tah”… The drama series 季节 (seasons), and I get to know Gui Ling Gou since that time.

Kuo Lin Ko @ RM8.00
Back then, when I had my Kuo Lin Ko, it’s only will cost me around Rm3 – Rm5 at the normal chinese stall. Here, you pay what you get. The quantity of the jelly herbs quite huge and the taste of herbs really strong. Koong Woh Tong Kuo Lin Ko” aka Herbal Jelly quite nice and smoot serve in the ceramic pot.

I still prefer my Kuo Lin Ko serve in cold which is you still can choose either you want cold or hot.

If you want make it sweet, they have honey as well. The herbal jelly is served with a pot of sweetener (honey). You may add as you like to suit your preferences.

Me & Jaime have same camera bag ^^

Group shot!

Overall I will vote:
7/10 for the service. Efficient & Friendly.
5/10 for the food quality and quantity. A little bit expensive.
8/10 for the environment. Clean, cosy, comfortable and just ordinary chinese herbs cafe.
