Last Wednesday, I was invited to attend launched Nike Football+ via the Nike Elite Training Live program at Wisma FAM. Conducted by FAM coaches, the program provides amateur players with interactive video-based tips and drills developed by Nike’s stable of elite football players and coaches.

Available at www.nikefootball.com, the Master Accuracy drills are conceived and demonstrated by coaches from FC Juventus, while other content includes players such as Fernando Torres and Wayne Rooney demonstrating their signature moves.

The Master Accuracy coaching is the second edition of the Nike Football+ coaching program, with Master Control kicking off the campaign last season. Nike expect to add further programs will focus on other skill areas like speed. Each of the coaching programs is a specially developed 4-week training regime that is set to sharpen a certain area of skill that a footballer needs to compete competitively.

NIKE’s longstanding partnership with FAM goes further than the national team attire sponsorship as the brand continues to explore creative avenues with FAM body to benefit young aspiring Malaysian footballers through competitive training programs and coaching.

“Nike Football+ is an exciting innovation for footballers worldwide and a new development in training that will work hand-in-hand with their football products to deliver benefits to players at every level.

The recently launched Nike T90 Laser III has evolved the boot range from its predecessor by adding new swerve fin technology and instep pods for kicking accuracy along with shape correction foam. Both are designed to be flat to your foot to create even pressure distribution when shooting the ball with accuracy and their longitudinal and flexible design accommodates an enlarged kicking area. A unique user-code that comes with every pair of the T90 Laser III boots that allows full access to exclusive training content loaded into Nike Football+.

In creating a third generation of the Total90 Laser III boot Nike’s design team broke down the action of kicking into specific elements to help them gain even deeper understanding of the boot to ball relationship.

In particular, the design team paid specific attention to the instep area and how players connect and swerve the ball. The team looked closely at the optimum state of geometry to produce maximum goals when it matters most.

This focus on the boot to ball relationship was the catalyst to ensure players could connect better for truer strikes and leverage surface friction for maximum swerve. One of the key objectives being to create a cleaner surface for even pressure distribution that improves power and accuracy when striking the ball directly.

The result is a newly configured Shot Shield that features several innovations enabling players to connect with the ball cleaner for a true strike without sacrificing accuracy.

The Total90 Laser III is the third generation of Nike’s boot offering in the accuracy segment, one of four distinct categories built on the insight of elite level players.

T90 Laser III – Accuracy
CTR 360 – Control
Mercurial – Speed
Tiempo – Touch

The Nike T90 Laser III is available at Nike stores and Al-Ikhsan stores and is priced at RM749.

The program aims to reach more than 700 youth with the aim of honing young talent and affording young footballers the opportunity to train like the stars of Juventus.

Speaking at the event was Malaysian national team coach, K. Rajagobal, who was present at the event to lend his support and endorsement of the Nike Elite Training Live program, “We are excited at the coming together of FAM and Nike Malaysia to recognize, reward and train young talent. The elite program will provide a fantastic opportunity to improve our talent pool with internationally recognized training techniques that will hopefully produce our very own next generation of football stars that can compete at the very highest level”.

With a keen commitment to the local football scene, Nike Malaysia has invested much to elevate the game of football in Malaysia to even greater heights. Its previous initiatives include the Manchester United Premier Cup Tournament organized yearly to give youngsters the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities in a competitive global environment. Additionally, the Nike 5 challenge, held in conjunction with Manchester United’s 2009 visit to Malaysia, gave local youth the chance to play with stars such as Nani and Rio Ferdinand.

Wow, how do you get invited to events like these? I'd love to go to one!

You say they are going to the Klang Valley but do you know if they are coming up north to Penang?

And where can you get a copy of their 4 week training videos WITHOUT spending RM700 on a pair of boots? I am sure your average Malaysian teenage is going to be able to afford that…!

Thanks for the effort you took to expand upon this topic so thoroughly. Jorge Luis Borges really is dead and not just waiting for a USMNT run to the finals, bam. A good soccer boot is the key to your success as a soccer player. I can hardly imagine what good a player can do without soccer boots. Use this information to decide what you need, or want, and go get it. Arguably and nike soccer boots the most popular in the world.
And I see football computer games more enjoyable. I look forward to future post.
    Thanks guys!
