Yesterday is the launch of 1st Malaysia International Toy Fair that held from 24-25 July 2010 at Midvalley. I was one of the lucky media who have an opportunity to have a close up review and also to have “first touch” regarding what is the Malaysia Toys Fair about.
It’s a major platform for the promotion of local and international toys, toy-related culture and creative entertainment. On that day, there have a lot of activities and exhibition that related with the toys. Malaysia International Toy Fair has been certified by The Malaysia Book of Records as the “First International Toys Fair” in Malaysia.
“A wide variety of toys will be featured to satisfy enthusiasts from all ages and walks of life”, explained Nick Tan, the project manager for MITF. “The event is not only for young fans, but older fans as well”
Among the participants to watch out for a Dooolls, weey an Eightyfourcube, while notable exhibitors from international front include Jubiyang – Bushi Gakki (Taipei), Philippines Toy Con, Devilrobots (JPN) represented by Bigbrosworkshop, Toy2r (HK) represented by Full Toys, WreckerTike (SG), Not (Indonesia) BAH (Indonesia), Saltnpaper (Indonesia) and many more.
78 booth have already been taken by well-established local and international parties in toy-relate an creative fields, with many more spots expected to be filled before the event. Exhibitors include toy designers, toy retailers, artist, game publishers, distributors and others.
